The team was recognised for its on-boarding program and support of oOh!’s Future Thinking Award – both of which aim to help employees “be their best selves”. The team has implemented a number of other innovative initiatives including an employee centric parental leave policy and program.
The HRD Awards are in their second year and recognise a broad range of leading corporate and government organisations from sectors including finance, insurance, and education.
Steve Reid, oOh! HR Director, said: “At oOh!, we’ve worked to create a culture that inspires and drives innovation so to be recognised by HRD for this achievement is a huge honour.
“Our people are our greatest asset and we encourage them to be able to bring and share their whole selves at work.
“The HR team have worked hard to develop a unique employee experience through a fun and family-like culture. They have done an incredible job to not only preserve that throughout the growth of the business, but also help it become front and centre in everything we do at oOh!,” he said.
Mr Reid added; “We’re always striving to show that the personal and professional sides of our employees are valued and nurtured.”
The on-boarding program uses new mobile technology called enboarder to enhance a year-long period that begins 30 days before employment and includes frequent contact and updates with managers that helps new employees adjust into roles.
The oOh! Future Thinking Award rewards innovative thinking with an employee “scholarship” that includes tickets to a conference, mentoring by a member of the oOh! Senior Management Team and a content generation training program.
