TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.

 

1.    PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

 

The promotion commences 30 January 2012 at 8:30am (AEDST) and closes 2 March 2012 at 5:00pm (AEDST).

 

2.    ENTRY

 

This is strictly an industry trade promotion and is only open to employees and contractors of Australian advertising agencies in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland who are available to travel in May 2012 on dates specified by the Promoter. Entrants must be over 18 years of age.

 

To enter the competition entrants must do the following:

 

Part 1: Post a photo on oOh!media’s Facebook page of you and oOh! doing something BIG out-there. Your entry must include the oOh! branded banner in the photo, your full name, advertising agency where you work and a brief description of your big moment out-there with oOh!  oOh! banners will be provided by oOh!media to all agencies when each of the state sales representatives visit the agencies to present the promotion to all agency staff.

 

Part 2: Solve oOh!’s big riddle by listing the key insights highlighted in the big billboard consumer research study. Entry form can be found on mrbig.net.au. All required fields must be completed for your entry to be accepted.

 

Entrants must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the competition entry to go in the draw to win the Prize.

Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter's decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.

 

All entries will become the property of the Promoter.

 

3.    DRAWING A WINNER

 

Seven (7) winners will be drawn by chance from the pool of entries in each State as follows:

•    One (1) winner will be drawn from South Australia;

•    One (1) winner will be drawn from Western Australia;

•    One (1) winner will be drawn from Queensland;

•    Two (2) winners will be drawn from New South Wales; and

•    Two (2) winners will be drawn from Victoria.

 

The winners will be drawn and announced at events hosted by oOh!media in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Entrants must be at the event in their State to claim their prize. If the entrant is unable to attend the event the entrant may nominate a proxy to claim the prize on their behalf. Winners will be notified in writing and published in the public notice section of The Australian on 2 April 2012.

The date of travel at the Promoters discretion and is subject to change at any point through the promotion.

 

4.    PRIZE DETAILS

 

The seven (7) winners will each receive the following prize:

(a)    A return trip for two (2) to New York flying economy class from Sydney, including domestic flights from Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. Including transfers from the airport to the hotel. The winner must be available to travel during May 2012.

 

(b)    Three (3) nights twin share accommodation in New York for the winner and their guest. The hotel will be a minimum 3 star rating.

 

(c)    An intimate dinner with Chris Noth for the winner and their guest and the other prize winners and their guests.

 

Each prize is valued at up to $10,000.00 each. (Inc. GST, $AUS)

 

All components of the prize must be taken together or otherwise are deemed to be forfeited.

 

If a winner is unable to travel on dates specified by the Promoter the prize will be forfeited and no additional prize will be made available.

 

The total prize-pool of major prizes is valued at up to $70,000.00. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

 

Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner. The Winner is responsible for expenses incurred, including spending money, most meals, all transfers (unless otherwise stated) including travel to and from departure point to airport, travel insurance), some taxes, gratuities, and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Incidentals charged to the Winner’s and travel companions room, such as meals, mini bar, laundry room services, telephone calls etc, are at the expense of the Winner (and their travel companion). Flights and accommodation are subject to availability and will be coordinated by the Promoter in conjunction with the Winner. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the Winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.

 

Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Domestic and International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

5.    MISCELLANEOUS

 

(a)    The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.

 

(b)    If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The Promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

 

(c)    The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this promotion.

 

(d)    All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects contact information about entrants in order to contact them about the promotion and where appropriate award prizes and may also use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with special offers via any medium including mail and commercial electronic messages. If you do not provide the information, you cannot participate.
