At oOh!, we are currently trialling a new LED floodlighting system to replace the metal halide lights the industry presently utilises on billboard signs. When we introduce this change, we will save a staggering 2,600 tonnes of CO2 every year. That is the equivalent of taking over 500 cars off the road!
We have also commenced the manufacture of a newly designed ShopaLite unit that utilises an LED lighting system instead of fluorescent tubes. This will result in the new unit consuming up to 90% less power than the traditional tube based signs.
Sometimes the simplest of ideas can also be the brightest.
